Our environment is carefully crafted to be comforting and supportive, allowing service users to feel at home while receiving expert care.
All activities will be age appropriate and dependent on the young person’s hobbies and interests, all activities are appropriately risk assessed.
All young people in placement are provided with membership to a local leisure centre, to enable them to access the gym, swimming, health suites and exercises classes.
All young people in placement with Headzpace Therapeutic Care are supported to create a weekly planner, to support them with developing a healthy lifestyle and structured routine, that included education, health appointments, keywork, independent living skills, activities, and family contact.
Young people have the opportunity to engage a wide range of activities such as Shopping, Cinema, Bowling, Mini Golf, Pool, Snooker, Darts, Theme Parks, Fun Fairs, City Trips, Seaside, Football, Basketball, Go-Karting, Karaoke, Tennis, Golf, Ice Skating, Roller Skating, Arcades, Snowboarding, Paintballing, Axe Throwing, Petting Farms, Safari Parks, Zoos, Laser Quest, Clip & Climb, Rock Climbing, Cycling, and Escape Rooms. Young People can also complete activities in the home, such as Arts & Crafts, Baking, Mindfulness, Dancing, Gaming, Board Games, and Pamper Sessions.
Young people are also supported to become involved in local community groups and to visit the local library, if this aligns with their interests. Where possible young people will be supported to continue any hobbies or interest that they have, such as music lessons, horse riding, and boxing. As part of the therapeutic care model, young people are also supported to have one takeaway meal with their support team, to support the development of social skills.
